The latest on Carter- he's most definately still sick, but improving. He's sleeping better during the night but still coughing all night and all day long. We're trusting the Lord that he will continue improving each day. Thanks for all your prayers for our boys!
Yesterday, we finished setting up the house. All the curtains are up and there are only 3 boxes left to unpack! Our place if finally starting to feel 'moved in'. I don't want to move again any time soons! In the 5 years we've been married this is the 6th home we've lived in! Something about that is just not right! We're looking forward to staying in one place for more than a year!
Today was the first snowfall of the fall! We were outside with the boys- Carter bundled up in his stroller and Gavin riding his trike, when we noticed teeny, tiny snowflakes falling from the sky! It was definately chilly today (37F) but I wasn't expecting snow! Now...JB thinks we should start playing Christmas music and setting up our Christmas decorations! I only got the fall decorations up yesterday! He'll just have to wait till Thanksgiving is over!
For a long time we were worried that Gavin wouldn't speak- I know it sounds silly, but before we returned to the states he was only saying a few words in English and a few more in Russian. He understood well in both languages, but we just worried the day wouldn't come when he would really start to speak! Well, now we can't get him to be quiet! He 'sings' about everything and his mouth doesn't stop moving- especially when there is a train around that he can be talking about! It was very obvious to us, after being back in Russia for a few days, that he definately noticed that people weren't speaking English all around him. He kept trying to say "bye bye" or "see you soon" to our neighbor and wondered why she didn't respond. Only yesterday at church did he start speaking a little more Russian- he would say 'Thank You' in Russian as well as 'bye'. It will be so exciting to hear him finally using both languages- how neat to grow up with the opportunity of learning multiple languages- as well as the ease of learning them as a child... !

Wow! You are already seeing snow! I'm so ready for cooler weather. Phil and I are still having 80 degree weather here in Tennessee! Its been really dry too! Send us cold weather. Well, I'm glad to know you are gettting settled in. We are trying to get a baby room ready for our baby boy we are having. We are going to name him Hudson James! We and our youth group prayed for you all last week. We will continue to lift you up in prayer. Can't wait to see pictures of your place.
