Time for a few pictures!

Seems to me, that maybe it's time for a few pictures from this summer! I still have downloaded the photos of English Camp off our camera- maybe tonight...but in the mean time here are a few odds and ends... enjoy!

These are pictures from a day we spent at a park near us with friends of ours that recently returned to the states- The kids had a great time riding bikes, riding rides and we all enjoyed shashleek together!






Carter is showing off his new "Future Brookwoods Camper" tshirt! Brookwoods is the camp that JB worked at summers during college. We would love it if Gavin and Carter would be 'future campers ' there during the summers that we are in the states...I'm sure they would love it!
Please meet "lady the ladybug". She is the very first bug Gavin has ever held...he is scared to death of anything flying or "crawley"! Flies, ants, worms, etc. After the initial shock of find "lady" crawling on him, he enjoyed holding her and eventually finding her a new home- outside of our apartment!
This is Duna- she was our dog for a day! She belongs for friends of ours here in the city- we just got to babysit her for a day- she is so sweet and the kids enjoyed having her to play with...though now we are SURE that our place is not big enough for 2 boys AND a dog :) !
And, finally... our little Carter Bear- grinning and giggling. Seems that this is what he does most all the time! He is a very happy little boy- but who wouldn't be with a big brother always wanting to entertain you?!

In other news... Carter had his first haircut yesterday- just a trim to get rid of the "mullet" he was growing! Today we went and had our blood drawn for our HIV tests that we have to have in order to get our visas. The employees at the clinic were SO nice and since we had both boys with us we barely had to wait. Gavin was super brave and didn't even cry! I could barely believe it! I'm so thankful for his Blue's Clues episode where Blue goes to the doctor...she says "One, two, pinch!" when she gets her shot- and Gavin likes to pretend to give us shots with his doctor kit- so when they got ready to take his blood he just said "one, two, pinch" just like Blue and didn't cry at all! Though, he kept telling everyone that the nurse took blood from his elbow! I hope he continues to be a good patient- b/c we'll have to repeat this test every 3 months in order to continue receiving our visas till we return to the states for home assignment this spring.

Not sure if any of you are following the unrest that's going on to south of us in the country of Georgia- Please pray for peace and a quick end to the unrest that is going on there right now. Please remember the churches in that area as they attempt to minister to the refugees that are fleeing and to meet the great needs of the people there.
