Sad and Sick

Yesterday we said our goodbyes to Jason, Carolina and Cami at the airport as they prepared to fly to Moscow (then to London and finally onto LA) for their one year home assignment. Gavin was especially sad to see Cami get on the plane w/o him. All night all he talked about was how Cami got to "fly high up in the sky. Gavin no fly on plane. Gavin sad." over and over and over! Even when he woke us up at 5am this morning (sick and vomiting!) he was still going on about how sad he was that he didn't get to fly with Cami!

Gavin's cough arrived yesterday. The infamous asthma cough. And despite using his inhaler it progressed very quickly- during the hour ride home from the airport he went from fine to really not fine at all. Poor guy didn't sleep well last night b/c of his cough and breathing issues. He slept in his bed, in our bed, on the couch, on the couch with Daddy, on the floor next to the couch and in my arms. I hate it when he gets like this- never fun to have a sick kid. Especially when the weather outside is finally beautiful and he would LOVE to run outside and enjoy the warm sun! But he won't be doing much running for awhile- he gets winded just walking across our apartment :( Please pray for a quick recovery for G and for us as we're missing our friends.
