This is my most favorite! I just love this pic of Sarah...It captures my little sister just the way she is- beautiful! Update- we just recieved JB's biopsy results- and they are benign! PTL! So, he is out right now trying to change our plane tickets so we can fly back to Krasnodar tomorrow afternoon! We are so thankful that he is healthy!
Yesterday we spent the day at the International Clinic getting Gavin's shots up to date and getting checkups! Gavin is huge. He is in the >90% in height (38in) and weight (14.7kg... I think that's about 33lbs?) and he's developmentally right on track. He's not speaking a ton of English words right now, but when you add up all that he says in English and in Russian the doc said he was right on track... We were blessed to have a fantastic doctor yesterday- her first name is Iris (the only other Iris I've ever met under 70!) She studied at John's Hopkins and will be here in Moscow for awhile- our doctors are on a rotation so they work at several different International Clinics around the world- so you don't always know who will be available. Gavin has a huge fear of people in white jackets since his stay in the hospital- when the nurses walked in yesterday to take his weight and temp he started going crazy- but the doctor was so wonderful with him- she even had him laughing and talking! He ended the afternoon with 5 shots- poor guy! They don't manufacture combined vaccines here- so he had to have 5 seperate injections... but this morning he seems to be feeling much better- his temp is down and he's taking a long morning nap right now because he was up for a good portion of the night.
Maybe later I'll post some of my thoughts on our trip... but right now I'm off to fold laundry and Gavin will be up shortly! Thanks again for all your prayers for JB during this time- keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we'll hopefully be flying back to Krasnodar tomorrow morning. Blessings!
