A great day

We here at the Hecock home are pretty big on family days. We try to fit in at least a family movie night once a week- where we have a picnic in the living room for dinner and watch a movie together afterward- and we usually have popcorn or some other special treat...well, Sunday was an extra special day. We packed a picnic lunch and spent the afternoon at a local park with a pond. We played baseball and soccer with G, bounced around a beach ball and chased bubbles. Carter had a grand time pulling up grass and eating all the food he could get his hands on. Several months ago we purchased this beach mat and sun shade with plans to use it at the beach in Spain. Turns out it was great for a little picnic- gave the kids a shady spot to sit/play and gave us a dry place to sit. Maybe it will be seeing more picnics in the near future! When the boys woke up from naptime they were surprised by a 'birthday party for George'. I'll post pics when I get a chance - I made cupcakes w/ candy decorations from Cars, put out a Cars tablecloth and all the leftover decorations from Gavin 2nd birthday party. Gavin was so excited to sing happy birthday to George and watch him blow out his candle with his trunk! (George is Gavin's beloved blue elephant, for those of you who have no idea who I'm talking about.) Then, of course we ate cupcakes after dinner while we watched a movie together. It was a great day- can't wait to do it again!

Iris, you're such a great mom; you take such delight in doing special things for your boys! I'm wondering, did each George get to attend the party, or are you down to just one? : )

We still have the 'triplets' (George and his 2 bros), But only one attended...not enough party hats!? Not to mention that too many trunks at the table tends to make a mess!
