Thanksgiving, Phone Calls from Friends and Family and Recipies

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!  There was no big turkey day celebration here... but we had a great day anyway!  Had a great morning with the boys- playing and cuddling.  This afternoon Carolina came over with Cami for lunch and the kids played together.  Then... the best time of the day- nap time!  for everyone!  We ate leftovers for supper and then Gavin and I made pumpkin rolls to surprise JB when he gets home tomorrow.

As great as it would be to be with family today, it was almost as great to get bunches of phone calls from family and friends- thanks everyone!  We miss you all so much!  But... on this Thanksgiving day I am so thankful for so much:

my wonderful Godly hunky husband
our two incredible boys
Our family and friends that are so supportive back home
Our teammates here in Ekat and all across Russia
nap time
good food
great coffee to enjoy with friends
tv programs from home
care packages
Coke Light
Ranch dressing

and lots and lots of other things!

for the Horners (and baby Hudson ) here's my pizza dough recipe:

1C water (warm, but not hot)
2T olive oil
3-3 1/2 C flour
1 package active dry yeast (.25oz)
1tsp sugar
1/2 tsp salt

Combine water, yeast and sugar.  Add oil, salt and 1 1/2 C flour and beat with an electric mixer for 3 minutes.  Stir in an additional 1 1/2 C flour by hand to form a soft dough.  Knead on a floured surface for 10 minutes adding the remaining flour as needed.  Place dough in greased bowl and cover.  Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size (about 45-60 minutes).

As for the BBQ chicken pizza- I use BBQ sauce instead of pizza sauce and top with shredded chicken, sauteed onions, green and red peppers and a mixture of cheddar and mozzerella cheeses. Yummo!

Now... I'm off to bed and anticipating JB's return tomorrow evening :)
